Job Description :

(Mechanical  QA QC for Construction of  Cement Plants ) :

• Mechanical Engineer with minimum 10 yrs experience in Site construction & Fabrication Quality control works for Projects (preferably exposure of Cement projects)
• NDT Level 2 certified desired. Additional qualifications/certifications in QA QC will also help
• To work as Owners representative for Quality Control at site and ensure contractors adhere and deliver QA requirements during project execution
• Able to independently handle the Site projects with  multiple contractors and implement the complete QA Process, Formats & Templates
• Knowledge of IS codes & relevant Standards for Mechanical QA process for construction projects and ensuring implementation at Site
• To prepare & implement Field Quality Plans (FQP) as per Contractors Scope of work and ensuring implementation
• Conversant to Project Engineering drawings and ensuring construction accordingly through Contractors
• Raw materials receiving at site, verification, safe storage management, IMIR and invoice validation
• Knowledge of Structural Steel fabrication works, testing, erection, installation, commissioning and acceptance process
• Establishing WPS, PQR, WQR, welders qualification, continuous weld quality checking and ensuring corrections
• Establishing & witnessing the NDT Testing requirements for DP, UT, RT & MPT as applicable
• Equipment erection, testing, alignment and verification, joint protocols sign-offs with stakeholders
• Raising observations/punch points and arranging timely closure, NC management through Contractors
• Painting process checking, validation, and DFT measurement, salt contamination, adhesion, Dolly Test etc.
• Submission of daily, weekly, monthly & Annual Quality Reports to all Project Stakeholders
• Document management for project quality records, joint protocols, commissioning, PG & Project close-out etc.
